Sri Lanka looks small on a map, but hill roads, town traffic, park timings and scenic stops change what fits comfortably into a day. A private driver gives you flexibility; it does not remove the distance. The sample routes deliberately avoid promising exact drive times before the dates, traffic and hotel locations are known.
Tell Sahan your non-negotiables first: a particular train, Sigiriya, wildlife, a beach, temples, food, quiet days or the North and East. He can then reduce backtracking and explain which combination works for the season. If you already booked hotels, include every address before the route is confirmed.
